The Nookies and Vols do dinner.

The peep meet went off without a hitch! Nookie called me around 5pm on Saturday and we made plans to meet around 6:30pm for dinner.

I met Nookie and Mr. Nookie at a local Italian restaurant. The Nookies had decided it was very important to have pasta for the pre-marathon meal. There was a 45-minute wait and we decided to leave and go looking else where for our dinner. We moved on down the street a little ways to another Italian place and there was an hour wait there. We then settled in across the street at Cozymel’s. The Nookies hadn’t eaten there and there was hardly a wait so we settled in.

I ordered a grilled chicken breast with baked potato and grilled veggies. Mr. Nookie ordered a shrimp pasta dish with Nookie ordering a chicken pasta dish. Both dishes looked deeelish and I think everyone was pleased.

We sat and talked about you all for a little while and then Mr. Nookie decided it was time to go because they had an early morning on the horizon. I left the Nookies and headed home but not before our server snapped a couple of pics. I look like a beached whale but I guess we will have to wait for Nookie to post.

BTW: there have been no news stories of a lost female wondering the streets of Knoxville after the marathon so I am almost certain Nookie is safe!

It's almost official

Everyone can starting getting gellus! We still have to make everything final but if nothing goes wrong, I will be dining with Nookie and Mr. Nookie this Saturday night! They are coming to town for Mr. Nookie to run in the Knoxville marathon on Sunday morning.

Nookie emailed me yesterday to say that the marathon officials suggested a locally owned Italian place to eat and they want to try and meet up there. I haven’t eaten there in forever and can’t wait. I will try and take pictures to share with everyone.

So, until then…

EVERYONE CAN BE GELLUS NOW!

A very sad day in Vols' house

Smoky VIII died of cancer on Friday at his home. Smoky is the blue tick hound mascot that attends all sporting events at the University of Tennessee. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2001 and was given 14 months to live. However, Smoky fought back and survived almost double that forecast.

Smoky VIII was the most successful mascot (on the football side) in school history. VIII saw the team win two SEC football championships and one national championship. Smoky will be missed.

A moment of silence...please.

Sorry...

For not updating at all this week! I have been busy and just haven't had enough time to make my rounds and update too.

I promise to work harder at it!

WHOA! What the heck happened?

The weather here today was absofreakinlutely beautiful! The temps were at record highs with an 81! We are expecting the temps to be in the mid/upper 70s tomorrow.

What did I do to celebrate? I washed, dried and waxed my car. It actually looks like a car someone would want to drive/ride in.

Did everyone else have great weather? What did you do with your Saturday/Sunday?

I am liking this!

There are tons-o-things going on in vols world this week!

Work is kicking butt and taking names but we are making it! The job has grown on me enough now that I sort of think I know what I am doing after 3 weeks. I still don’t like hateful peeps but the world is full of them.

I am getting ready to post the second episode summary of The Real World over to the other place but it will have to wait. I keep getting a “server not found” error. Don’t forget peeps…you HAVE to read the summary once it has been posted. YES MTW, this means you!

My favorite sports time of the year is getting ready to start…MARCH MADNESS! WOO and FREAKIN HOO! Tomorrow (or today depending on when you are reading this) the SEC tournament starts with UKRocks’ team playing on Thursday and my Vols playing their first game on Friday.

The NCAA tournament starts in two weeks and I can hardly sit still waiting on it! I love the tournament and how it all plays out is so dramatic.

What do you all like about this time of year?

Overdue skin

It has been way too long for some man candy! There was no skin on the front page. WTF has happened. Which one you like the best?

Something to do for the weekend!

Don't forget to remember to read my Real World summary...I know all of you were waiting on the edge of your seat.

On to other things...I haven't posted over at the other place (OT) in a while and to be honest, I haven't missed it much. I noticed someone started a "librul" thread and HAD to get his kick in to start the thing off. I didn't read it nor did I even listen to what he wanted us to. What does this say about me?

I think I am going to try and watch something OnDemand. They usually have a couple good documentaries to pick from and that is the mood I am in. The scary part is that I don't even think I want to drink tonight (as I thought I would be in mood earlier in the day).

URGH! Having an 8-5 BLOWS! HEHEHEHEHEHE!

TV viewing schedule

With the Olympics over it seems the television-viewing schedule is finally getting back to normal for me. I was just wondering what you all were watching? I am watching:

The Amazing Race
Survivor
Deal or No Deal
The Real World (loser and idiot that I am)
The Bachelor (just finished)
The Apprentice
American Idol
Lost

I think that is about everything or isn’t that enough. What is on your “must watch” list?

BTW: I have found that most peeps I have to deal with from Oklahoma are not nice!
