Sad news in vols land

Usually, I am a person that watches the news of all the doom and gloom around us but put it aside and move on with whatever I have to do…until now. A story broke last weekend here in Knoxville that has me just beside myself and I don’t know why. I want to share the story with the hopes that putting into words will help me get it out of my system.

Late last Saturday (midnight or a little after) night a local girl (early 20s) called her mother to tell say that her (the girl) and her boyfriend was on their way to a friends house to watch movies. By mid-afternoon, the business where the girl works called her mother to say that the girl hadn’t shown up for work and didn’t call in. The mother immediately started calling her daughter’s cell phone to no avail.

Later that afternoon the boyfriend was found on the other side of town (from where they were suppose to be the previous night) shot to death, wrapped in a blanket and set afire! A search was set into motion for the girl and the person/persons that killed the young boy. A couple of hours later the girl’s vehicle was found two blocks from the young man’s body…but no sign of the girl.

Monday went by with no sign of the girl but late that afternoon the police released photos of two brothers of interest. The police gave no reason as to why or how they came to that conclusion but they got a search warrant for the house the brothers lived.

Early Tuesday morning the police searched the home and found the girl’s body stuffed in a trash can out back of the house. The police said the girl was alive a couple of days and was repeatedly raped. They didn’t release how she was murdered.

Four men have been arrested for car jacking but no charges for the rapes and murders but I can’t seem to get this story out of my mind. The young couple was so cute and had a great life ahead of them before these animals decided to take their fate into their hands.

I am at a loss!

OMG, Vols. That is disgusting. Just heart-wrenching. No wonder you can't shake it just yet. It's because you have a heart, and are a compassionate person. All I can do at a time like this, is focus on the fact that the victims are no longer suffering.

Be safe!

Very shocking and sad. How can these people be called "human beings?"
